What Is "Bombs Away Bingo"?
Bombs Away Bingo is a fundraiser for the air show. Here's how it works...1225 tickets are available to purchase. On the day of the "bombing", we will assign each tickets to one of 1225 squares. Each square represents a 5' x 5' square inside a grid that is laid out at the airport. The overall "bombing zone" is 175' x 175'.
Once the grid is marked out, the bomb dropping begins. A pilot flies his airplane over the drop zone at about 500'. Our bombardier then begins dropping weighted bags out of the airplane. Each bag is numbered. The lowest three numbers that land in the grid represent first, second and third place winners.

Our final fundraiser of 2010, Bombs Away Bingo 3 will be held during the show on August 21. Get your tickets early & see if you've won during the show! Ticket information to follow shortly. Payouts will be $500 for first place, $250 for second, and $100 for third.

The results are in, congratulations to Donna Tucker, our first place $400 winner. Second place goes to Ray Bleau (30 minute airplane ride) and the $100 third place goes to the Besser Credit Union Lotto Club! Congrats to the winners!
Wings Over Alpena 2010 Is Brought To You By
"Bombs Away Bingo 2" Takes Place March 27!
Help support Wings Over Alpena with a "Bombs Away Bingo" ticket. Tickets are available from any Wings Over Alpena committee member and cost $5. On Saturday, March 27, a 125'x125' "drop zone" will be cut into 5'x5' squares. Your ticket number will be randomly assigned to one of the squares. Next, we will fly a small aircraft over & drop three sandbags. The winner will be the first square that the sandbag lands in. First place wins $400, second wins a 30-minute airplane ride for two, and third place takes $100.

After four runs at the target, winners of our first Bombs Away Bingo fundraiser have been determined! Shannon Datema & Lynn Talaska split the first place prize (both names on the winning ticket), Janice Brown won the 30 minute airplane ride and Megan Warner won the third place $100 prize. Congrats to our winners and look for another chance at Bombs Away Bingo next year!
